Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan also known as the Pink city. It was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh IInd on 18 November 1727. Among the most beautiful city, it has a rich heritage and culture and still follows traditions.

Why is Jaipur known as Pink City?
During the rule of Sawai Ram Singh Ist, the city was colored pink to welcome the Prince of Wales. Most of the buildings were colored pink for giving Jaipur a unique look. Today, most of the old city boundary walls, old markets, Government offices and old city buildings color are of pink color.
Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur constructed with a red and pink stone. This is also known as the “Palace of wind”. This beautiful palace was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.
The architecture of Hawa Mahal was Lal Chand Ustad. He designed it in such a way it maintains the best ventilation in the palace.
It has 953 windows called Jharokhas. Palace main purpose was focused for royal ladies who can view the everyday life of the city and the festival celebration of the city of Teej, Gangaur, Ganesh Chaturthi yatras and many more.
From the main street (Badi Chaupad) you will see the palace and imagine it as the main site of the palace but that actually is the back side of the palace.
Hawa Mahal is one of the best heritage sites of Rajasthan. Visitors can reach the site through different transport modes and also can enjoy the city market called “city bazar” with different Rajasthani culture dresses and handicraft items.
It is situated in the old city of Jaipur and is mostly the first place anyone starts their trip from. Amber fort construction was started in the year 1592 by Raja Man Singh and was completed in the 18th century by Sawai Jai Singh. This fort took 2 centuries to complete its construction with the rule of 3 kings by this one can understand how huge this fort is and is already give a reason to visit this fort.
Diwan-E-Aam, Diwan-E-Khaas, Ganesh Pol, Jaleb Chowk, Singh Pol, Jai Mandir, Yash Mandir, Sukh Mandir, Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors), Suhag Mandir, Shila Devi temple, Bhool Bhuliya, and Zanana Dyodhiare the attraction of Amber Fort. Elephant ride and light show are also the attraction point of visitors. Jagat Shiromani temple is situated near the Amber Fort. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Meera one of the oldest temple of amber fort must visit temple because of its architecture.
Movies like Bajirao Mastani, Shddh desi romance, Mughal-e-Azam, Jhoda Akbar and many more are shot at Amber Fort.
Nahargarh means “Abode of Tigers”.
Nahargarh Fort is one of the most happening sites of Jaipur.
This was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh IInd the founder of Jaipur. Its walls extended over the surrounding hills, that connect this fort to another fort called Jaigarh fort.
The Nahargarh Fort follows Indo-European architect.
This is two story building, divided into nine similar apartments with luxurious rooms for the king and his twelve wives.
This is one of the best tourist sites one should visit in his Jaipur trip. The Fort stands at the highest edge of the Aravalli Hills in Jaipur, from where the visitors can experience the complete view of Jaipur city.
The shooting of movies like Rang De Basanti, Shuddh Desi Romance was done here.
Nahargarh Biological Park is also the main attraction site one can visit. Here one can explore the area and its flora and fauna. Over 285 species of birds can found here.
Jal Mahal (“Water Palace”).
Jal Mahal is a palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The palace architecture is in the Rajput style which was built in red sandstone.
It is a five-story building of which four floors where the underwater only top floor is visible. One rectangular Chhattri on the roof of the palace were made in Bengal style.
Jal Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The beauty of palace is eye-catching. When anyone goes to Nahargarh valley this place looks beautiful from there. The palace is one of the best examples of Rajputana architectural beauty and technical excellence.
In winter hundreds of migratory birds can be seen in the lake. The palace seems more attractive in the evening time. The view of Aravalli hills from the bank of the lake is beautiful as the palace is between two valley’s give an amazing view.
With Boat riding, one can also enjoy camel ride around the lake.
ALBERT HALL Museum
The Albert Hall Museum is the oldest museum in Jaipur. It is also known as the Government Central Museum. It is located in Ram Niwas Garden.
The museum was designed by Colonel Sir Swinton Jacob and was constructed in 1876 to welcome King Edward 7th, the Prince of Wales on his visit to India.
The museum was opened for public in 1886 with amazing galleries. The museum shows the rich heritage of Rajasthan.
It exhibits a number of archways, paintings, portraits of royal kings, metalwork, the bass made jewelry, clay wares, traditional dresses and many more. This museum is a valuable place for visitors and for those who are eager to study history and want to know more about culture, heritage, and lifestyle of kings. The museum will give lifetime experience as it shows all the precious things and takes you to the old era.
One can visit the museum on 6 days of a week and on Tuesday and national holidays this remain close.
Jaipur Wax Museum
